Supreme Court Rejects PIL on UGC-NET Re EXAM Cancellation, Directs Affected Students to File The Supreme Court, on July 29, 2024, declined to entertain a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging the cancellation of the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) exam due to alleged question paper leaks. The bench, comprising Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala, and Justice Manoj Misra, emphasized that the PIL was not filed by the affected students but by a lawyer, Ujjawal Gaur.
